Explore Asiana Restaurant

Introducing Asiana Restaurant, a standout dining spot tucked away at 2001 Airport Way in Fairbanks, Alaska, where attention to detail, warmth, and exceptional food come together in a way that immediately feels special. Walking in, the atmosphere feels calm and intentional, with an upstairs setting that evokes a Japanese tatami-room vibe, creating a sense of privacy and comfort that’s rare and memorable. The space is notably clean and well cared for, reflecting the pride and dedication behind the scenes, and the service feels almost intuitive-needs are often met before they’re even voiced, adding to the relaxed, welcoming energy of the restaurant. The menu leans confidently into sushi and Korean-inspired dishes, with freshness being a defining feature across the board. Sushi lovers will find rolls that easily rival those in major food cities, with flavors that are clean, balanced, and generous, including well-loved specialty rolls that longtime locals recognize and seek out. Ingredients taste vibrant and thoughtfully prepared, whether it’s a crisp, textured sushi roll or a deeply satisfying hot entrée. The kalbi, served sizzling and aromatic, stands out for its tenderness and rich, savory flavor, offering a comforting contrast to the lighter sushi selections. Beyond the plates themselves, there’s a strong sense of personality here-the kind that comes from people who truly care about what they’re creating and sharing. That care shows up not only in the food but also in small touches, like house-made kimchi available by the jar, adding another layer of authenticity and charm. The overall energy of the space feels calm yet lively, making it an easy place to settle into, whether for a quiet meal or a longer, more immersive dining experience that feels thoughtfully curated rather than rushed.

The best sushi I’ve ever had! This is an absolute must try, I’ve lived in Seattle, Las Vegas, and Anchorage so I’ve had my fair share of sushi and this place has exceeded my expectations. The couple running this place are so sweet and you can tell they put their all into this restaurant. Very clean restaurant, would come back again!

Great Sushi, everything was super FRESH. Crunchy Baby Lobster Roll and the Viva Las Vegas Roll!!! These used to be signature rolls at Tokyo Express and you can get it at Asiana. And look no further for your new kimchi shop. Come get your KPop Kimchi by the jar here.

If Neo from the Matrix happened to be hungry and in Fairbanks, I would imagine that he would be here, in a corner booth. This place is accessed upstairs and it gives a Japanese Tatami room vibe. I love it when the service is so good that they know what you need before you need it, and they don't ask, they just bring it. I had a huge piping hot still sizzling portion of the tastiest Kalbi I have ever had in my life. The energy of this space is good, especially for sensitive people. If you wonder where the famous people would feel the most comfortable, this would be one of those spots.

Took a friend here for his birthday. We both got the all you can eat rolls. 2 each. And that was more than enough for us. The rolls are VERY rice dense and large. Good but definitely seemed a bit heavy on the rice. Only thing I did not like about mine was the salmon was very low quality. If I had to guess I'd say it was chum or pink salmon. Texture and taste were very odd. Beware of the $15 if more than 3 pieces left fee. We ate more than we really wanted to with just the 2 rolls each to avoid this fee. But all in all I'd go again. I'll just navigate the menu differently.

I’m not hard to please and I love sushi so take that into account for the review. Friendly service from a nice couple that speaks some English. I thought it was really good sushi and I’d go back.
